What caught your interest in this project?

What got my interest was the story.  It involved a local village comedian getting married to a white woman and both of them didn't understand themselves. I really liked the idea of the story and saw it as an opportunity to interpret my own point of view.

How was your communication with the producer and the crew?
Lovely people! From the executive producer, to the AD, editor, sound, gaffer, welfare, costume everybody. They were very cooperative. We were like a family. Some I had worked with before, others was for the first time. They respected each other and ensured the project moved on.

The producer saw me as someone who could actually interpret the script. We brought an actress in from Ghana, Juliet Ibrahim who didn’t understand hausa and at a point in the story she was supposed to speak hausa, so the producer really needed someone who could help her speak the language and culture in a short period of time and make it a reality on screen.

Welcome To Filmers Blog

Creating a platform for nigerian filmmakers to meet and collaborate has and continues to be at the core of 'filmers'.
Taking a step further in this direction, we've introduced this blog to merge with the current magazine to boost interactivity and timely updates.
Some of the things to expect right off include technical review of nigerian movies, directories for contacting creatives near you, information on upcoming and ongoing projects, profiling and interviews of creatives etc.
Cheers for now
